Regenerate 2019 Workshops & Events

Grain Workshops

All three workshops will run simultaneously.  There will be a maximum run time of 3 hours. Following each chef lead demonstration, the guests will do their best to replicate the creations under the watchful eye of the chef.  These hands-on workshops will be a new component to Regenerate because our hope is these skills are done in home kitchens and with families across London and SW Ontario, so we’re pretty excited to have Fanshawe lead this element.

Fall Food Fest & Farmers Market Take Over

Join us at the Covent Garden Farmers market for FALL FOOD FEST a celebration of the harvest season and the bounty of beautiful produce and grains we have growing here in southwestern Ontario. There will be activities for the whole family; fun fall-themed games, a chance to judge and taste our heritage grain cooking competition, and a free cooking workshop upstairs in the market featuring Julie Kortekaas from Rebel Remedy Health Bar. Regenerate has also challenged some of the local vendors to try some baking using heritage grains, so expect to find many different locally inspired goodies.

This event is designed for the whole family so get in the car and come out and join us!

Followed by a panel discussion as we listen to members of the local food community discuss the challenges and difficulties of making local food happen.
