CK Table Presents our Community Dinner Series
Our newly added Community Dinner series is an opportunity to work with various stakeholders and consumers in telling the story of their food. We all have food stories but one thing we are realizing is that food is about relationships; farmer and chef, consumer and farmer, chef and consumer and we want to help build those relationships and return to the idea that people actually knew who grew their food. We hope you will joins us on the farm or through social media!
May 28 2016 – Community Dinner Series Junior Edition
Chef’s Emily Meko and Russell Colebrook of Eat What’s Good will be spear heading a team of engaged and passionate students from Ms. Kranenburg’s Grade 3 and 4 class, as they help to put on this amazing locally sourced meal (even growing some of the ingredients themselves!).
The four course offering will be created by Chef Emily, Russell and the students themselves. Earlier in the month the students will team with Growing Chefs Ontario to design the salad and soup courses through an educational and fun class cooking competition. They will also be serving the meal and telling their food stories to all in attendance.
Proceeds will help send the class on their year end class trip and other food initiatives they choose to support as a group.
When: May 28th, doors open at 4 pm and dinner service will start at 5pm
Where: Queen Elizabeth II Public School 79 Eugenie St. Chatham ON N7M 3Y9
